NICL AO Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2015

National Insurance Company Limited(NICL) will conduct an ONLINE Written exam for recruitment of Administrative Officer.  As the year passes level of competition for banking & Insurance exam gets tougher. It is not the time for burning late night candles & take nothing in the exam. So for Selection Nothing can work for selection except a smart study plan. Prepare for exam differently than other candidates. In this article, we are providing you Important Topics from Large syllabus for AO Exam.

► Time Duration of Objective part is 02:00 Hours (120 minutes) and descriptive part is 45 minutes.

► There will be penalty for wrong answers i.e. for every wrong answer, one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question will be deducted from those obtained by the candidates.

AO Exam Syllabus:-

Reasoning : Focus on Comprehension Reasoning, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Coding and de-coding, Problem Solving Techniques, Statement & Conclusion type questions,  arithmetic reasoning, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, syllogistic reasoning, Seating Arrangements.

English Language : Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms,  Sentence Error, Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test etc.

Quantitative Aptitude : Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages , Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Date Interpretation is the section which have to be focused.

General Awareness : Questions will be asked from Indian Current Events, Banking, General Science, General Knowledge. Focus will be mainly on Current affairs of National & International news, Important dates, Current Science, Technology, Sports & Culture & Banking Sector. Some questions from Marketing can come in the exam.

Computer Awareness : Basic of Computers, Computer Organization, Generations of computer, Input & Output Device, Shortcuts & Basic knowledge MS word, MS Excel, MS power point, Memory Orientation, Internet, LAN, WAN, Modem, Computer Abbreviations, Modern day Technology. Remember short cut Tricks of MS Word, MS Excel & Computer Abbreviations.

Note :- For Specialist Post questions will be ask from relevant discipline. So Focus on the basic Concepts  of Respective Discipline of Finance, Automobile Engineering & Legal.

Descriptive Test :- In Descriptive Test 03 Questions will be ask from Essay writing/précis writing and Letter writing. For Descriptive Test Focus on the Current News of Finance Sector, National Issues, Recent Government Scheme & Editorials from the leading English Newspaper like The Hindu.

Maths- Easy to moderate 10 simplifications, number series DI (all are very easy),,rest as usual from profit loss,SI and CI,,time wrok etc. I did 26

Reasoning- Easy 5 sentence coding, 5 inequalities, 5 syllogism , one circular puzzle with all facing inside,,one building problem 8 floors ,,5 syllogism,,,etc.I did 38

English- Easy to moderate ,,passage of 3 para with 5 lines in each para(easy one),,fill in the blanks,,sentence arrange too easy,,cloze test,error in sentence and error in words both 5 each ,.I did 37

General Awareness-Majority of the questions related to CA of past 2 months,, Moderate to dificult .I did 37.
