मुद्रा योजना (Prdhan Mantri MUDRA Bank Yojana) का अर्थ हैं माइक्रो यूनिट्स डेवलपमेंट रिफाइनेंस एजेंसी (Micro Units Development Refinance Agency) जिसे MUDRA कहा गया छोटे अर्थ में मुद्रा मतलब धन से हैं यही इस योजना का मुख्य बिंदु हैं कुटीर उद्योगों को धन की सहायता |

मुद्रा बैंक योजना 8 अप्रैल 2015 को घोषित की गई हैं मुद्रा बैंक वैधानिक अधिनियम के अंतर्गत स्थापित किया गया हैं जिसमे कुटीर उद्योगों के विकास की ज़िम्मेदारी प्रधानमंत्री मुद्रा योजना बैंक की होगी |

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने छोटे कुटीर उद्योगों के लिए मुद्रा बैंक योजना (Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Bank Yojana)विवोचन किया |मुद्रा योजना छोटे व्यापार को मदद देने के लिए शुरू की गई योजना हैं | वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली ने 2015 के बजट के तहत इस मुद्रा बैंक योजना में 20 हजार करोड़ रुपये के फंड एवम 3 हजार करोड़ रूपये क्रेडिट की घोषणा की हैं | अरुण जेटली ने स्पष्ट किया कि मुद्रा योजना एक सही तरीका हैं जरूरत मंदों के लिए वित्तीय मदद का “Funding the unfunded”|
माइक्रो यूनिट्स डेवलपमेंट रिफाइनेंस एजेंसी (मुद्रा योजना)

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा मुद्रा योजना (Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Bank Yojana) से छोटे उद्यमियों को फायदा होगा | यह ‘माइक्रोफाइनेंस संस्थाओं (MFI/एमएफआई) छोटे उद्योगों के लिए एक नियामक के रूप में कार्य करेगा|

मुद्रा बैंक योजना के तहत हर वो व्यक्ति जिसके नाम कोई कुटीर उद्योग हैं या किसी के साथ पार्टनरशीप के सही दस्तावेज हो या कोई छोटी सी लघु यूनिट हो वे इस मुद्रा बैंक योजना के तहत ऋण ले सकता हैं |

मुद्रा बैंक योजना के तहत छोटे उद्योगों एवम दुकानदारो को ऋण की सुविधा तीन चरणों में दी गई हैं |

शिशु ऋण योजना: कुटीर उद्योग की शुरुवात के समय मुद्रा बैंक के तहत पचास हजार के ऋण का प्रावधान हैं 

किशोर ऋण योजना : इसमें ऋण की राशि पचास हजार से पांच लाख तक की जा सकती हैं |

तरुण ऋण योजना : इसमें पाँच से दस लाख तक का ऋण लिया जा सकता हैं |

मुद्रा बैंक योजना का मुख्य उद्देश्य
मुद्रा बैंक योजना (Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Bank Yojana) का मुख्य उद्देश्य छोटे उद्योगों को साहुकारो की सूतखोरी से बचाना हैं |इस योजना के तहत कुटीर उद्योगपति आसानी से बैंक से लोन ले सकेंगे |
मुद्रा योजना (Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Bank Yojana) के तहत उद्योग संबंधी प्रशिक्षण एवम व्यापार की छोटी छोटी बाते भी बताई जाएँगी जिससे उद्योगपति अपने व्यापार को बढ़ा सके |
मुद्रा बैंक योजना (Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Bank Yojana) का अहम् कारण कारण पढ़े लिखे नौ जवानो को रोजगार मिलेगा और उनका हुनर भी निखर कर सामने आएगा |
बड़े उद्योग केवल सवा करोड़ लोगो को रोजगार देते हैं लेकिन कुटीर उद्योग 12 करोड़ लोगो को |
अगर ऐसे लघु उद्योगों को आर्थिक सहायता दी जाये तब वे उन्नति करेंगे जिससे रोजगार के अवसर भी बढ़ेंगे  इस दिशा में मोदी ने गुजरात का उदहारण दिया गुजरात में पतंग व्यापार को थोड़ी मदद देने से वह व्यापार पांचसों करोड़ से पैतीसो करोड़ तक पहुँच गया |

मुद्रा बैंक योजना की सोच बांग्लादेश देश के प्रोफ़ेसर युनूस की हैं जिसे उन्होंने वर्ष 2006 में लागु किया था जिससे कुटीर उद्योग का विकास हुआ जिसके बाद अन्तराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर युनूस सहाब की प्रशंसा की गई |
